Movement, breath, and quiet strength
Stillwater is a fictional yoga and wellness studio for gentle strength, nervous-system care, and practices that make everyday life feel a little more spacious.
Find a classOur Philosophy
Stillwater began as a small morning class in a borrowed room, with sunlight on the floor and a few students who wanted movement that did not ask them to override themselves. That first class still shapes how we teach: with patience, clear options, and respect for the day each person is having.
Our approach blends yoga, pilates, meditation, and restorative practices so students can build strength without losing softness. We care about alignment, but we care just as much about breath, pacing, and helping you leave with a steadier sense of your own body.
Some days the practice is energizing. Some days it is quiet. Both belong here. We believe consistency grows best when the studio feels welcoming, the teaching feels personal, and the nervous system is invited rather than pushed.
Class Types
A steady, breath-led practice with thoughtful sequencing, standing balance, and gentle strength. Expect a warm pace that leaves space to listen to your body.
A quiet class using bolsters, blankets, and longer holds to support the nervous system. This is an invitation to soften rather than perform.
Controlled core work, spinal articulation, glute strength, and mobility in a precise but approachable format. Small movements, careful alignment, deep focus.
A seated practice with breath awareness, grounding prompts, and simple tools for daily steadiness. No prior meditation experience is needed.
Gentle movement, supported rest, and breath practices for pregnancy. Classes are designed to help students feel informed, comfortable, and cared for.
An immersive evening session with singing bowls, soft breathwork, and guided stillness. Come as you are and let the room hold the pace.
Weekly Schedule
This soft booking-style schedule is static for the demo, but it shows how a real studio could present classes clearly without turning the experience into a loud checkout flow.

Meet the Instructors
E-RYT 500 / mindful vinyasa
Mara founded Stillwater after years of teaching in busy studios and realizing students were craving more room to breathe. Her classes are steady and intentional, with clear options for people returning to movement or deepening a long practice.
Pilates mat / postural strength
Elio teaches precise, low-impact classes that help students feel strong without rushing. He has a patient eye for alignment and a gift for making subtle work feel deeply satisfying.
Prenatal / restorative care
June brings warmth, quiet humor, and trauma-informed care to every class. She specializes in practices that support transitions, recovery, pregnancy, and seasons when rest needs to be taken seriously.
Meditation / sound practice
Anika creates spacious experiences with breathwork, guided awareness, and sound. Her sessions are especially loved by students who find traditional meditation intimidating or hard to begin.
The Studio Space
The fictional Stillwater space is designed around natural materials, soft acoustics, plants, and places to pause before or after class. Visitors can picture a slower arrival: shoes off, tea poured, phone tucked away, and enough room to settle before the practice begins.
Member Reflections
"I came to Stillwater after a stressful move and expected to take one class. What kept me returning was the way the teachers remembered the small things: a wrist modification, a quiet corner, a reminder that rest can be part of progress."
Leah M.
"The studio has helped me rebuild a relationship with movement that feels kind instead of punishing. Mat Pilates gives me strength, restorative classes give me sleep, and the pace of the whole place feels humane."
Samira K.
"I was new to yoga and worried I would feel out of place. The instructors made everything clear without making a big deal of it, and now the Sunday sound bath is the softest reset in my week."
Daniel R.
